This was getting to be a disappintment so I retraced my steps to the double decked hide and patiently waited, watching a couple of Moorhens going about their business.
Still nothing so I decided to go home and made my way towards Bills Hide and the car. Passing Reed Hide, I thought it worth a quick look and - BINGO - there was a female Kingfisher nicely perched. It was not in the least concerned with me opening the window and setting up but after a few images, it flew off.
