Another trip to West Norfolk to see if any interesting migrants were around. After leaving later than intended, I arrived at the first reserve, Holme Dunes NWT where a Grasshopper Warbler was 'showing well' at the far end of the reserve. Back into the car to find it to be greeted by a birder who had found a male Redstart.

Very flighty indeed so after half-an-hour, it was off to the Gropper. Soon found by the song but, as usual, buried in a large bramble bush. Never-the-less, after patiently waitnig for an hour or so, it finally cam towards the top of the bush allowing just a couple of shots.

It may have been 'showing well' for birders but not well enough for me so back to the Redstart but that refused to show much at all - another miss of a male Redstart.  I feel a visit to Wales coming on in the next few weeks!!!

On to Choseley Drying Barns where nothing was in evidence but I carried on to the bottom corner on the road to Choseley to see if there were any Dotterel in the pea field. No Dotterelbut spent a very pleasant couple of hours watching about 20 or so Brown Hares in the next field boxing away but too distant for photography until one of then broke away and ambled towards the car giving the best opportunity to date for reasonable shots.

Then interesting behaviour from a pair of Red-legged Partidges, possibly displaying but I have never seen it before and still rather distant for photography.

Anyway, a very enjoyable afternoon, if not too great for keeper images although there are a few more in the Recent Additions section.
