For the past three weeks or so, my garden has been invaded by a family of House Sparrows. There has been a notable absence of them for some unknown reason during the past few years so I was delighted to see them return. A real family with male, female and at least three youngsters.

A couple of weeks ago, with an hour to spare, I set up my camera to see if I could celebrate their return with a few photos. Well, only the male showed well enough for some keepers, rather disappointing but that is wildlife!!!

After that, there has been disturbance around the house for the past couple of weeks as the exterior paintwork needed attention so no further opportunity to capture the youngsters - another session on the cards.
