Friday 2nd June and I was really making progress with catching up on editing but then I saw that there was a flock of 10 Common Scoters at nearby Dernford Reservoir, just south of Cambridge.
Too good to miss as my only sightings of this sea duck were distantly from the shore.
The side lighting did not help and they stayed towards the centre of the resrvoir but, still, these were better images than any others I have taken of the species so no complaints.
There were a couple of Black Terns feeding but also distant so any photos I took were swiftly deleted as I have much better. A similar story for the drake Gargeney.
The only other photo worth keeping was of a Skylark perched on the fence on the way back to the car.
Now back to catching up.
