After the marathon editing excercise after the trip to Hungary, it was back to the reality of UK bird photography so a trip[ to the RSPB reserve at Frampton Marsh was the starter.
Weather good but it was rather hard work to say the least. The first real sighting was a pair of Black-winged Stilts that were nesting on the reserve - rather distant for a decent shot but, well, a record shot is surely in order.
Continuing on to the East Hide, one of the Stilts dropped in to feed and then fly off.
Nothing more then until the afternoon when we moved to the sea wall area. A pair of Avocets were on the road making a fuss and then the reason became abvious when a recently hatched chick emerged from the grass.
Moving on, the weather was very calm under the sea wall so opportunities for reflection shots. Gadwall
Tufted Duck
and a lone Black-tailed Godwit.
So not a bad day after all.
