At last, I have managed to complete the editing of the images from the first day of my Finland/Norway trip at Kaamanen. As a result, a total of 71 new images have just been posted to this website.

Pine Grosbeak was one of the main target species and I am delighted with the number of decent images. Here are a couple more

The main problem I have had is identifying which are Arctic Redpoll and Common(Mealy) Redpoll images. There was a constant mixed flock around that did not make it easy at the time but this is a common identification problem and I may have made a few errors in labelling the images I have posted - if so, I am sure that someone will let me know.

As a taster, here are a couple of Arctic Redpoll images

and a couple of Common Redpoll images

Causing no identification problems were Siberian Jays that were frequent visitors, clearing the area of any other species when they were around.

But quietly showing on reasonably regular but usually brief occasions was the odd Siberian Tit

More images are in the Recent Additions and the European Trip sections.

The next sorting process will be the images taken at Batsfjord - King Eider and Steller's Eider from a floating hide. Hopefully, it will not take me as long to complete them.
