Marsh Tits in Monks Wood Cambridgehsire have been the subject of a long study by Dr Richard Broughton and he kindly asked me to provide some photographic records. There were several visits to the wood to set up perches and feeders and to keep the feeders topped up until there was a break in the pretty awful weather to allow some photographic sessions.

Finally a suitable day arrived and I got all set up with a borrowed hide, ready for a five hour stint.

The usual supects were the first to arrive.

Then the target species - three different birds overall but only on an irregular basis indicating that this may have been a difficult winter for Marsh Tits.
