AS we all know, the weather during the past few weeks has not been conducive to taking pictures. Photography needs light and there has been precious little of that recently and when there has been, I have been otherwise engaged.

I did venture out to Grafham Water a few days ago, but the only bird of any significance to come within range was a female Goldeneye

It is then a case of trying to make interesting images of omega replica watches common stuff, just to pass  the time.

Anyway, on a lighter note, last Sunday there was a report of a Serin at Fen rolex replica Drayton Lakes RSPB. Things went quite for a while before there were further reports of a pair.

I had only seen Serin once before, on a trip to Mallorca so, against my usual habit of avoiding twitches, and with the weather report OK for yesterday morning, I started off at that part of the site that they seemed to prefer. Brief views and a few record shots resulted before they flew off. A friend then phoned me to say they were further along the busway but they had been flushed just before I arrived.

Patience is a virtue so they say so I hung around and waited for them to return. Several fly-by's of finchesand assorted tits built up the hopes with no sign of them until I looked at a large bush next to me and there one sat. Only a few minutes for some shots...

before it was off and I had to leave.

Still there today - I may be tempted again tomorrow!!!
