Last Monday, with the weather for the week looking pretty unhelpful, I took my gear to Canon at Elstree for matching. You may remember that I did this in early December but Canon could not do the job as the software from Canon Japan could not handle the new 7D MK2.

This time, there were no problems and I was able to collect it all on Wednesday.omega replica  The job was expedited because of the previous problem. So, with a friend, on Thursday, I went to Welney WWT to try it out. Pouring rain in the morning was not helpful but it cleared up by lunchtime giving a bright sunny afternoon.

Sitting in one of the observatory wings, there was a lot of water on the Ouse washes so nothing was close. I amused myself with a few shots of the Black-tailed Godwits that were regularly being spooked but we could not see what - just being flighty I suppose.

A shot of a male Pochard made me smile - saluting for the camera

We then walked to Lyle Hide and on the way, could not resist a female Kestrel that was hunting in the breeze.

At Lyle Hide, there was plenty of wildfowl and with the winter sunshine, made some good rolex replica watches  opportunities for Wigeon

and a drake Teal in wing flap mode.

A pair of Wigeon were preening together and resting. I was hoping for a shot of them both looking to camera. This is cropped but not bad considering it was taken with the 7D MK2 500 f4 lense and a 2x converter.

Finally, on the way back, a pair of Stonechats were 'showing well'.

Back in the observatory, the light suddenly dropped making photography impossible.
