Daytime temperature really increasing now - up to 36c - so it was a late afternoon/early evening start to a meadow just outside Cremenes. It did not look good. The perches were under a large tree with the hides looking into the heavy shade so the time of the day was far from ideal.
We had several visits from the usual Nuthatch

and even a Great Tit.

Any other birds kept to the heavy shade so photographs not worth keeping. An Iberian Green Woodpecker also stayed in the heavy shade but did decide to feed in the meadow, distant but worth a shot.

And that was the sum total from 3 hours in an uncomfortably hot hide. Better luck tomorrow.
