A local photgrapher, Kevin Robson, has a facility to photograph Tawny Owls by LED light at night so I thought that I would give it a try.

Not too easy as the shutter speed had to be kept to around 1/25th to 1/100th second to avoid very high ISO so subject movement was a problem. Any way ,there was a family of Tawny Owls, a mother and three juveniles that appeared just around dusk, the juveniles staying for a couple of hours giving great photographic opportunities.

The three youngsters initially stayed in the tree

but then came down to feed

and a bonus, the local Badger joined the party with three visits.

Overall, a very successful evening. If anyone would like Kevin's contact details, let me know.
