Tuesday 31st March 2015

I have just completed the editing of all the images from my trip to the Hortobagy Eastern Hungary and posted them to this website - it only took 7 weeks!!!.

Day 3 was again concentrated on Eagles in Eagle Hide 1, otherwise called the Well Hide as it has been built in an old well and had viws in two directions. The surprise was that is had snowed over night - should be interesting.

Once again deposited in the hide at 05:30am - before dawn, and sitiiting waiting for some action. omega replica watches  The first to arrive was the White-tailed Eagles making an impressive entrance

followed by Caspian Gull announcing their arrival

The usual Hooded Crows came and bickered

and a few Jackdaws - interesting exposure situation of a black bird in best replica watches snow.

The Eagles had the occasional fight

and one even sussed us out in the hide and gave us the once-over, from about 3 or 4 metres.

Finally, before dusk, a rather mangy Fox appeared - shot at ISO 4000 with the 7D MK2.

This was the hide for Eagles - at one time we counted 28 in the immediate vicinity - pity that the day was again cloudy as the images would have been improved by sunlight. But, as photographers, we have to work with what we have.

There are many more images from this day in the Recent Additions section, and the Trip Gallery
